He moved to Aquitaine in southwestern France to live, where he draws, sculpts, collects and produces books on military subjects. Martin Stiles is a long-time collector of militaria. The images in this book were taken from two volumes of photographs taken by "SS-PK (photographic correspondent) Mayer Miesbach" as a record of the 1st Battalion in Greece during April and May of 1941.
