Connected to Source a Journey of Experience is a collection of poems spanning over 30 years of the authors' life.  As a teenager, Tina Thurston began journal writing which led to the creative expression of writing poetry.  Her range of emotions and questioning her purpose of existence is a palpable theme throughout the book.  Her writing is relatable, with the ability to be felt deeply and easily understood.  There is a journey felt from beginning to end, a message of resilience and courage.  It takes bravery to bare one's soul in vulnerability.  Tina Thurston generously shares her insights from her love of nature to the hate of flippant human relations.  She craves meaningful connections to her world and those she loves.  The beauty of her work is it portrays the positive as well as the negative in a rhythm that feels she is guiding the reader along her path of life experience.  Completely relatable, humbly offered, her words in artistic expression while connected to source.

In the three years since the first publication of this book, there has been an opportunity for greater reflection and personal growth.

Rather than give power to the abuse that occurred in my childhood by documenting it here as I did in the first edition,
I would like to simply state “to forgive is to move forward consciously and continuously.”
