Lewis Blackwell is a recognised leader in creative and photographic practice. For almost a decade he led the creative development of Getty Images, the world's largest photo agency. He is currently a visiting professor at the School of Creative Leadership at Steinbeis University Berlin. His books include The End of Print, Soon: The Future of Culture of Brands, Twentieth Century Type, Photowisdom, and The Life and Love of Trees.

In Life and Love of Cats, Lewis Blackwell provides a unique perspective on one of our closest companions. Starting with the earliest records of domestic cats 9,000 years ago in Africa and the Mediterranean, Blackwell celebrates and explores the joy of cats in our lives, searching for the essence of our connection with them.
