Jerry Gray is the last living original member of Canada's first iconic folk group, The Travellers, begun in 1953. With Jerry at its head, the group performed over 3000 concerts for over 60 years across Canada and around the world and recorded 19 albums, He and the group have been awarded Lifetime Awards by labor organizations political parties and sang in "Command Performance" for Queen Elizabeth. He is the only Canadian invited to "guest conduct" The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

His most prestigious award was being asked to conduct The Mormon Tabernacle Choir in concert in Toronto in 1913, as they sang the Canadian version of This Land Is Your Land, written by The Travellers in 1954, the only Canadian to be so-honoured.
