Philip Caveney wurde 1951 in Nord-Wales geboren. Er verbrachte die meiste Zeit seiner Kindheit nicht nur damit, Großbritannien und Nordirland zu bereisen, sondern lebte auch etliche Jahre in Malaysia und Singapur. Nach seinem College-Abschluss arbeitete er hauptsächlich an Theatern in London und Wales. Heute lebt Philip Caveney mit seiner Frau und Tochter in Manchester.
