Born 1976 in Germany and lived in Hamburg until 1988, graduated from German School in Cairo, Egypt, 1994. Graduated from faculty of medicine, Cairo University, 2000. Working in psychiatry department of faculty of medicine Kasr al Aini,Cairo,since 2002. Finished Master degree, 2006. Finished M.D. degree, 2014, currently lecturer of psychiatry.
Rheumatologic patients reveal high prevalence of psychiatric disorders, especially depression and anxiety. SLE (systemic lupus erythematosis) and RA (rheumatoid arthritis) patients have characteristic features at dynamic psychopathologic level as regard self esteem, defensive functions and coping styles, also in relation to clinical variables (disease activity, pain, disease duration). This book highlights the great connection between rheumatologic diseases and psychiatry and sheds light on the importance of implication of psychiatric intervention in patients suffering from rheumatologic diseases.
