A. Rashid bin Mohd Yusoff is Research Professor at Kyung Hee University since Nov. 2012. He received his BSc. in Physics with Education from the University Putra Malaysia and his MSc. in Applied Physics from the University Malaya. For his PhD study he went on to Brazil, where he graduated at the University of Parana in 2011. Afterwards, he joined the Department of Information Display at the Kyung Hee University as a post-doctoral fellow studying organic photovoltaics (OPV), quantum light emitting devices (QLEDs) and organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). His research mainly concerns the interface and device engineering of organic semiconductors and metal oxides for optoelectronics applications. He has published over 40 papers in refereed journals on light emitting device, photovoltaic, transistor, and organic magneto current.
The first up-to-date account of the many opportunities for graphene in high-end optoelectronics, focusing on emerging as well as realized applications. Covering metallic and passive components, as well as high-frequency devices, spintronics, photonics, and terahertz devices.

This first book on emerging applications for this innovative material gives an up-to-date account of the many opportunities graphene offers high-end optoelectronics. The text focuses on potential as well as already realized applications, discussing metallic and passive components, such as transparent conductors and smart windows, as well as high-frequency devices, spintronics, photonics, and terahertz devices. Also included are sections on the fundamental properties, synthesis, and characterization of graphene. With its unique coverage, this book will be welcomed by materials scientists, solid-state chemists and solid-state physicists alike.
