Burcu Gündogdu was born in _stanbul, Turkey. After she studied English Language and Literature in _stanbul Kultur University, she started to study M.A. in _stanbul University. Currently, she is working as a Res. Assist., and obtains the chance to publish her first article collection consisting analysis of four seperate works.
This study involves a close analysis of Anna Furse's Augustine (Big Hysteria), Philip Ridley's Mercury Fur , Doris Lessing's Briefing For a Descent into Hell Charlotte Brontë's Shirley, focusing on the gender relations, identity construction, violence and melancholia issues. With the analytical collection of the works above mentioned from different eras, the major aim I elucidiate is that how society works in the absence of the Sufi Message" Oneness", and communication, memory, love, art and communication. What can be done to erase social boundaries, gender binaries and Violence created through these dynamics?
