Achal Prabhala is an Indian researcher, activist and writer based in Bangalore, Karnataka. He works on intellectual property rights in relation to medicine and knowledge. He also serves on the board of the Centre for Internet and Society and on the Advisory board of the Wikimedia Foundation.Achal Prabhala works on critical investigations of intellectual property in connection to medicines and knowledge. Between 2004 and 2006 he coordinated a campaign for access to learning materials in South Africa and researched IPR issues in association with the Alternate Law Forum, India.
