The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a severe and multidimensional challenge worldwide. Countries have demonstrated a remarkable difference in their management of the crisis and their preparedness to address the consequent impacts. The UAE presents a successful example of managing this crisis, containing its risks, and even turning some of these risks into opportunities for continuing its pioneering development march and achieving sustainable recovery. This study seeks to explain all the dimensions of the UAE's model and the factors behind its excellence through three main themes: the first presents the general features of the UAE's model, especially the country's proactive approach in dealing with the crisis and the focus on its different aspects and impacts. It also analyzes the country's moves to strengthen international cooperation in the face of the pandemic, besides its domestic participatory approach based on engaging the various community groups and encouraging them to participate in the fight against Covid-19.The second dimension covers the mechanisms and measurements implemented by the UAE in its comprehensive fight against the pandemic at the health, political, humanitarian, economic, security, and public awareness levels. The third dimension presents the UAE's experience of achieving sustainable recovery from Covid-19. The UAE was the first in the world to adopt a well-defined strategy in this respect by applying a package of measures and policies, including proactive government policies to keep up with new priorities in the post-Covid-19 world. The country continued its preventive and precautionary measures to protect the community's health and developed crisis management systems, making them more equipped and prepared to deal with any emergent health crises in the future.
