In November 2010, the NATO Summit held in Lisbon dominated the political news of the worlds media for 24 hours. In only three weeks Risco and P-06 Atelier created an ephemeral summit in-stallation in the pavilions of Lisbons exhibition centre, which was designed not only to meet the strict requirements for an event of this scale but also to set standards in terms of sustainability and communication design. The spaces that were created pro-vided the framework not only for a political but also for a media event. Each chapter of the book focuses on a special topic related to the project, from architecture and construction to media exposure. In addition, the book contains contributions from authors involved in the project as well as complementary images and drawings. The photographs by Fernando Guerra were taken be-fore and during the event especially for this book.
